Iconic Style on Queen’s Road Central
Stuttgart. Porsche Design Group (Porsche Lizenz- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG) is opening its first own Porsche Design Store in Hong Kong. The store in the well-known Queen’s Road Central, which has a floor area of 148 square meters, follows a new store concept which focuses on the substantially extended fashion collection for women and men and highlights the iconic essence of Porsche Design products.
At the opening on July 12, 2012 the luxury brand is presenting a limited edition wristwatch, all sales proceeds from which will go to the Suicide Prevention Services in Hong Kong.
“With the new store in the Queen’s Road we are bringing Porsche Design right to the centre of Hong Kong”, says Juergen Gessler, CEO of Porsche Design Group. “In the last business year we increased our sales by 30 percent.
And the first half of the current business year again shows a really positive trend, with an increase in double figures. We intend to support this growth by our ongoing sales and product offensive for Porsche Design. And the new location in Hong Kong is just the first step of many others that are going to follow soon.”
In the new Hong Kong store the complete product portfolio of the Porsche Design luxury brand will be presented, ranging from the fashion collection for men and women and the sport collection, through luggage, eyewear, watches and writing tools, to cell phones, jewellery and accessories.
As a highlight at the opening of the store on July 12, the luxury brand will be presenting a very special version of the chronograph Porsche Design P’6620 Dashboard. This version, limited to three pieces priced at 58,888 Hong Kong dollar apiece, has a special engraving on the glass of the case back. All the proceeds from the sale of the three watches will be donated to the Suicide Prevention Services, a Hong Kong based charitable organization established in 1995.
The shop design of the store in the Queen’s Road Cetnral follows a global concept which highlights the iconic essence of the Porsche Design products. The characteristically light, fresh feeling underscores the lifestyle of the luxury brand and enables it to be experienced on a day-to-day level. Particular attention has been paid in the store to the aspect of sustainability: all the lighting installations use state-of-the-art LED technology – with the result that energy consumption has been reduced by more than 50 percent compared to the previous concept.
